A few of us went to see 300 last night and we were all treated to an excellent experience.
The movie spent a year in post production, which is probably due to the way every scene has “crushed” visual colours and most of the film was shot against blue/green screens.
The film was based on one of Frank Millers graphic novels, much like Sin City, although completely different plot lines and shooting styles.
300 tells of The Battle Thermoplyae where King Leonidas lead 300 of his best Spartan soldiers in a fight to the death against Xerxes and his massive Persian army.
There’s an incredible amount of violence in the film, but it’s somewhat subdued by the tasteful cinematography. It’s got a fantastic look to the film and is definitely worth watching if you’re not too spooked out with ancient tales.

I really enjoyed this film, the 2 hours where over before I knew it ( a great sign for me that it was enjoyable).
I’d suggest if anyone fancies it, they should go to the cinema, it’s really worth seeing it on the big screen.
